Not Amused
The following story is told of the late Jock Wallace in an exchange of views
with the referee Kenny Hope. Rangers were away to Aberdeen at Pittodrie and the
boys in blue were losing. When the referee blew for the end of the match Wallace
protested that injury time should have been played.
'Sorry Jock,' Hope joked, 'But I've a wedding to go to tonight.' Wallace was not
amused.
'Aye,' he said, 'I bet it's your mother and father's.'
